Georgia Department of Revenue changes prepaid local tax on motor fuel sales

What are the new prepaid local tax rates?

  • The new rates, provided in the table below, will be effective Jan. 1, 2016. All Georgia licensed motor fuel distributors must collect Prepaid Local Tax  on  all  motor fuel  sold for  highway  use  to any purchaser not licensed as Georgia distributor.
